My to do list for the New
Millennium
1. Meet on Monday with my
fellow voters on the front lawn of my Senator’s home to talk about ways
he can serve us better. Hope he’s got enough lawn chairs for us!
2. Maybe we can all meet
Tuesday at the Governor’s office to review his efforts in fulfilling our
goals. Wonder if he’ll let us in?
3. On Wednesday, I can buy
a gallon of fence paint, then search the low income neighborhoods for a
shabby fence that needs painting. Wonder if I’ll get arrested?
4. On Thursday, I’ll walk
to the neighborhood school and volunteer for the morning. Think they’ll
let me in?
5. On Friday, I’ll knock
at each of my neighbors’ doors and share my joy in having them nearby, close
and a part of my community.
6. On Saturday, I’ll really
think about this country, my community and my home. I’ll decide what needs
to change or improve in each. I’ll make my plans and begin my work for the
new millennium.
7. On Sunday, I’ll accept
once-and-for-all, that my most difficult burdens were God’s gifts...not
anything I chose or made happen! It’s about time! It’s about freeing up
energy and brain cells for more worthy endeavors. It’s about a gift that
God offers but we often don’t accept.
Yep...it’s
going to be a busy first week
of the new millennium.
Wish me success!
Lets go home now.
