Things weren't working out for Jeff.
Things hadn't been working out for years.  
His behavior at school was disruptive and his grades were failing.  
At home, he was his own boss...no matter what.  
His friends found him entertaining
and any "dare" was met with action.

  The problem was no one could live with him.  
The problem was he had given up on himself.

And, in the midst of his defeat, he believed in the power of
The Lincoln's ChalleNGe Academy
He applied for the July, 2008 class.  He became the center of a great LCA staff arguement with the Sangamon County Probation Department.  In the midst of this agency dispute, Jeff lost.  He never was accepted into the July class.  He had to wait and apply again for the next LCA class that was scheduled to begin in January, 2009.   On his second attempt, he was accepted.


And, he did succeed.
