What does success look like?

Ask David...

It begins with grabbing ahold of the things you love.

And, then, helping them grow...

But, we're jumping ahead of the story.
This was the end of my story about David.

Here's a look at the beginning...

He would do about anything he needed to get your attention.  He liked those shocking thoughts and those bazaar views.  You better talk fast because his attention wouldn't stay long on any object.  He was proud to have been from California but he didn't talk much about the bad sides of life there.  He got along with classmates but didn't make friends.  He was sliding through life without roots, anchors or attachments.

And then things changed:

He completed The Lincoln's ChalleNGe program (above photos). Later, he got a job at Hardies where he met Christina and his life changed again.  It was a match.  It was the key.  And,  a better life began.  He had found a life's purpose for his efforts.  He found someone who he loved and she loved him in return.  What a powerful force.

So, how do I measure success?  Well, maybe it's seeing a student go to college, to the military or win an award.  But wait, I know a better measure for my success.  A wedding in my backyard.  Maybe a wedding with his teacher and I working together to make this great event successful.
Oh look, that's just what happened!

Yep, it was a day to remember.
