Attention...Christians
Here’s a list of your “cautions” for today!

1. We are “called” to make the world a better place.....a better place with our efforts, time and emotional involvement. Don’t take the easy way out with money! It’s the droplets of sweat God sees, not the stroke of the pen! What we need today is not more radio and television towers...it’s shining, living examples that win the world!

2. Fellowship with family and Christian friends is important but never an end in itself. We must be stretching to “strangers”, sharing with those who struggle, working side by side with a “needy soul”, seeing that each of God’s children are heard and understood.... This is the territory of The Christian.

3. God’s instruments include the leaders of the church. Our leaders are not created for folks to serve. They are created to help his children fulfill their Godly mission. When church leadership “gets rich”, one can fairly view those folks with a “questioning eye”. When church leadership defines our goals and judges our behavior, it undermines God’s will for us. God’s will is not a profit making venture; it is not a vehicle by which a few folks gain fame and fortune.

4. Remember, it's still "the fruits"...worshipping God without a Christian life style is much like a beautiful apple tree without apples. It’s the fruits we must still look for....not pompous virtue nor a “club” like circle of friends.

5. Our suffering is often not the result of God’s action. When we sit, nothing happens. When we speak with anger, angry feelings exist in our environment. When we let our children grow up without our personal involvement, we reap the rewards. When we venture into new environments, our life may be initially “rocky”. The laws of this life are quite visible and tangible. Do not be so quick to give God the credit for your suffering...check your life style first.

6. God loves you. His earth does, however, have a natural course of events that is forever happening. Sometimes a few of his children are hurt or killed. Sometimes his children suffer as a result of those natural occurrences. That is how life is. That is how His creation functions. Accept this fact.

7. Folks who call themselves Christians take the tough road...a road of love and service. There are others who indulge in judgment, anger or focus on an enemy. They are living a life they call Christian but it's truly not. There are those who gather others together based upon a common enemy. Still others seek to ally with God’s structures and tap it’s financial resources. But, truly, the tough Christian road is not based upon anger, hate nor self fulfillment. The tough road is emotionally demanding, spiritually challenging and personally altering...fulfilling God’s plan for this earth.

The Christian of our new millennium must be diligently focused on seeking to know God and serve him. It’s a tough road in our new millennium with various side-tracking forces. It’s a time when folks cry for your support, plead for your money, try their best to sway your focus.
